Kojima Productions has announced that it is starting work on a new game – and is looking to hire staff to join its Tokyo studio.
The developer – originally established by industry legend Hideo Kojima in 2005 as part of Konami to create Metal Gear Solid games, but independent since Kojima split with Konami in 2015 – has not as yet released any details about the new game, but has revealed that it is looking to fill at least 26 roles on the project.
Kojima Productions’ first game as an indie was 2019’s inimitable Death Stranding, so it is possible that the new project could end up being Death Stranding 2, although Kojima is famed for his unpredictability, so it could equally be a completely new intellectual property.
Among the roles that Kojima Productions are looking to fill are 11 programming jobs, eight artist jobs, producer, assistant producer, sound designer and writer. The company says: “We are always looking for skilled talent with a commitment to quality and innovation. Please note that these positions are based in our Tokyo, Japan studio location, business-level Japanese speaking and writing is required for all applicants.”
If you possess the necessary Japanese language and games development skills, and fancy being based in Tokyo, you can apply for jobs on the new Kojima Productions project via the company’s LinkedIn jobs page.
